What if selling wasn’t about pitching, but about asking the right questions at the right time? In this talk, students will explore proven sales methodologies, learn how to design a prospecting process, and discover how curiosity can be the most powerful tool in building lasting business relationships. The Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR), is held annually on November 20, honouring transgender people who have lost their lives in acts of anti-transgender violence.
On PEI, the week leading up to TDOR, November 13–20, serves to raise awareness of/increase visibility of transgender issues, particularly intimate partner violence. Transgender Awareness Week is a week when transgender people and their allies take action to bring attention to the community by educating the public about who transgender people are, sharing stories and experiences, and advancing advocacy around issues of prejudice, discrimination, and violence that affect the transgender community.
UPEI welcomes diversity and is committed to creating a culture of trust, safety, and inclusion for transgender people. Together, we can foster a campus community of inclusivity and support, ensuring that everyone feels safe and valued. For a list of supports, visit UPEI’s Department of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Human Rights web site to access the “Find Supports and Services” web pages.
UPEI will observe TDOR by flying the transgender flag and lowering all flags on campus to half-mast.

We are pleased to introduce UPEI’s new Exit Interview program, developed as part of the UPEI Action Plan:
- 3.1.6.1: Develop a process to offer exit interviews for departing employees, and
- 3.1.6.2: Develop a process to share aggregate information learned from exit interviews in confidential and appropriate ways.
An exit interview is a voluntary opportunity for employees who are leaving UPEI or moving to a new department to share feedback about their work experience. This helps us better understand the employee experience and identify opportunities to strengthen our workplace.
More information is available on the Human Resources SharePoint page, including:
- The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) outlining eligibility and reporting
- A sample questionnaire
If you have any questions about this process, please contact the Employee Experience & Development Team in Human Resources at hrengage@upei.ca
