How do I login to Moodle?
Go to myUPEI and login with your username and password. From there you can select your courses and go to the course pages directly or you can press the Moodle button to go to the Moodle front page.
How do I get around Moodle?
Use the Navigation block on the left-hand side of your page. From there you can go directly to any part of Moodle you have access to.
How can I change my picture in Moodle profile?
First click on your name, which appears in the top right-hand corner of your course screen. You will now see your profile.
Now click on ‘Edit profile’.
Scroll down until you find the ‘User Picture’ block. You can upload your picture or drag and drop it.
I can't edit anything in my course. How do I get into editing mode?
You can only edit things you have permission to edit. A regular user such as a student can only edit her/his home page and profile page. A user with editing rights such as a teacher can use the 'Turn editing on' button
that can be found in the top right-hand corner of the home page screen.
Who can create and edit activities and other things in courses?
Whoever has the editing capability. At UPEI that includes teachers and administrators. Administrators are the E-Learning Office (ELO) and the IT department (ITSS).
How do I edit items on my course homepage?
With the editing turned on, each item on your course homepage and each section/block will have icons next to it which all perform different functions such as:

| Item can be moved horizontally by indenting it to the right | |
| Item can be moved vertically up or down by dragging and dropping | |
| Edit the section content for this item | |
| The duplicate icon allows you to copy the corresponding item. It's done directly on the course page. | |
| The delete icon will send activities and resources to the Recycle Bin for one week. After that they will be deleted. | |
| The open-eye icon means the corresponding item is visible to students. It will close when you click on it. | |
| The eye with a strikethrough icon means the corresponding item is hidden from students. It will open when you click on it. | |
| The groups icon allows you to change between no groups or separate/visible groups for the corresponding item. | |
| The assign roles icon allows you to assign roles locally within the corresponding item. |
